Montague Lord carries out consulting assignments in international development economics. His areas of expertise include trade and investment; private sector development, value chains and clustering; agricultural and natural resource economics; macroeconomic aspects of international trade and finance; development planning and policies; economy-wide country and industry-specific studies; international competitiveness and growth areas; and regional and multilateral arrangements ranging from free trade agreements to WTO accession and impact analysis. He has extensive practical experience throughout the word, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean, Central Asia, East Asia and the Pacific, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. He is currently focusing his work on Southeast Asia, notably Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.
